It's hard to believe that another year has come and gone. Let's all hope that the coming year of 2005 brings us all better luck with dealing with a company that profits, record profits I might add, from its workers but wants to give nothing in return. We need to stay on our toes to see where all of our work is going. If we don't we may be the next ones to go. We also need to watch our backs because believe me someone else is watching and I do mean watching. Management is hell bent on catching someone doing something wrong. It's not long before someone is made an example of. Just try to remember to do your job, do it right and as safely as humanly possible. Don't put yourself into a position that might get you in trouble personally, physically or emotionally. The safety crunch is on in the shops and in the field. With the recent major train accident the pressure is going to be on for this years Harriman Award and I don't think I need to tell what's going to happen the year that Norfolk-Southern does not win this award. So again, work safe and work smart, keep your eyes open because they have theirs open more now than ever.

Thank you,
